For Freud desire is the basic material of dreams and and every dream is the representation of our desires. They unfold to us more or less clearly, depending on how much they have been masked by the psyche during the dream’s generation process.
Childhood dreams are the direct realization of a desire, in adults the formation is more complex: Every dream comes from condensation, fragmentation, shift of needs consciously or subconsciously rooted in the individual.
From this basis my purpose was to examine a group of people’s desires, asking them to choose three photos that best represented their wishes.
I printed those pictures on transparent paper and overlapped them to get a representative composition of the individuality of each one.
